BIBLE STUDY FOR THE BUSY SCHEDULE

We have a group of women who meet on Thursdays to study and fellowship together.  Two women who can not attend because they work on those days have asked me to begin this blog so they might follow along and enjoy the Bible study with us.  We are currently reading Joanna Weaver's Having a Mary Spirit

Our discussion on chapters 1 and 2 explored what we would like to change about ourselves.  Everything from being a better person to losing weight to taking on new habits or breaking bad habits was explored.

When we realized all the different types of Pharisees we looked at the Pharisee in all of us.

Questions for followers to ponder,  pray about, and discuss as you read through chapters 1 and 2:

  • What are some of the statements/phrases that spoke to you?  (Where did you highlight or underline as you read?)
  • What would you like to change about yourself?
  • Is your faith about "an eternal fire-insurance policy" or have you begun to experience "the life change Christ came to give"?  (page 18)
  • What tools for transformation do you use or want to be better at using?  (page 19)

THOUGHT:  "My deepest fear is waking up twenty years from now still the same woman I am today."  (page 23)
